Livin' on Sunshine

After weeks of rain, it is a blessing to see the sun. I had an invested Irish boss that gave me the task of creating a power point with my leadership brand. This was a great exercise on introspection. Everyone has a brand, so the question is are you or someone else in control of yours? It took me weeks of reflection and investigation to identify my natural bend verses the leader I wanted to be. The project concluded with The Sun Approach to Leadership- creating energy, providing transparency, ongoing catalyst for growth. After presenting my Sun approach leadership brand to my companies VP, he gave me the nickname- Sunshine. It didn't take long before my colleagues started to call me Sunshine with 4 syllables. I wonder if y'all think about the correlation between the sun above and the Son of God? I think about it a lot during my morning walks. I began each journey heading toward the sunrise then return with the sun casting a shadow in front of me. Watching as the sun appears over the horizon brings warmth, peace and joy of a new day. God sending his Son gave us life everlasting and a new beginning. On my return the sun on my back reminds me how God is always with me guiding my path protecting me.
