It's my favorite season: no weather temperatures, football banter, homemade soups, fireside chats, etc. Interesting paradigm that I am in the autumn season of my life, and the best is yet to come! Beth Moore summarized Philippians 3:12-14 nicely in her Entrusted bible study: Our calling is continually in process we never arrive. We don't have to know our calling. He'll show us as we go. Our calling is not behind us, it's in front, so we need to forget yesterday-both the failures and the fabulous- move on.

Every morning I thank the Lord for the abundance of blessings that surround me then I ask forgiveness for falling short the same way I forgive others. A colleague that I have nicknamed Obi-Wan has taught me to use the Lord's Prayer as a guide to praying. Following this outline keeps me on point and accountable. This has been a year of giving grace to yourself and others. My team continues to hear me say, "don't focus on the poop piles, go pick daisies." Our mind controls our attitude and actions, so feed it well. To many times we limit ourselves, get stuck, due to fear of failure or the unknown. I am trying to make a concise decision to not over complicate it, just do the next right thing.
